On Saturday February 21st at Martin Luther H.S. in Maspeth, Queens the inaugural New York City Wrestling Championships will take place. Under the direction of Jim Regan, Private School Wrestling Head, Matt Smith, Head Wrestling Coach at Collegiate School in NY, Bob Mc Laughlin, Athletic Director at Fordham Prep and Larry Cantor PSAL Wrestling Commissioner.

The top 4 finishers from each of the following associations will come together to wrestle and crown a "New York City Champion" at each weightclass. The PSAL, CHSAA, and the New York Private School Association are the three groups. This tournament has been a year in the making and is the first time that it will take place. Our hope is to try and develop a more rabid interest in wrestling in NYC.
